Mixed Media Paintings

These paintings were inspired by outings in nature noticing how starkly human made objects contrast to the surroundings. In many cases these unnatural structures are for protection, the barrier between humans and nature in order to protect both. In other cases they are remnants of human influence. To highlight the contrast in subject matter these paintings utilize two different sources of watercolors, handmade with natural pigments and manufactured with synthetic pigments.
