Thesis

I completed my Master of Science in Textile Design in May of 2013. The below work was inspired by the concept of entropy, split into three definitions: chemical, mathematical and biological. In addition to traditional textile print designs I created a quilt with the expectation of chaos and a giant patterned rubrics cube.

concept look book

An exploration of all three concepts through color, mood boards.

Reactions

A series of textiles inspired by chemical entropy, the release of heat.

Order

A collection of textiles inspired by mathematical entropy, all things tend towards chaos.

Life Studies

Textiles inspired by how entropy impacts life, evolution is ruled by chaos and death.

The Cube

A giant 12 x 12 rubrics cube created with neodynamic magnets and fabric paneled sides.

Entropy Quilt

A quilt made with tabs of velvet that constantly move and distort the color of the pattern.
